Prosecutor's Office Employees' Day is a professional holiday for Ukrainian prosecutors, investigators and support staff. It is dedicated to the people who bring charges in court and watch over the rule of law.
How it is celebrated: offices hold formal gatherings and hand out certificates and thanks, and veterans of the service are invited to meet younger colleagues.
In 2016, amendments to Ukraine's Constitution removed general supervision of legality from the prosecutors' duties and focused their work on criminal prosecution and representing the state in court.
