Neurologist's Day
December 1 · Level 6 · #1029 of 2238

Neurologist's Day honours doctors who care for the nervous system, from headaches and stroke to epilepsy and diseases of the brain. It is also a good excuse to remind everyone to look after theirs.
How it is celebrated: colleagues and patients thank the doctors, and clinics hold open days, consultations and talks about the early warning signs of neurological conditions.
The human brain contains roughly 86 billion neurons by a widely used estimate, and neurologists spend their days working out how those cells talk to one another.
