Recycling Day
November 15 · Level 1 · #2024 of 2238

Recycling Day invites people to see used materials as resources for something new. It encourages better sorting habits and a closer look at what local collection services actually accept, helping keep useful materials out of landfill.
How it is celebrated: organisers run recycling collections, sorting workshops and visits to processing facilities. Swap events and creative repair sessions also show how objects can stay useful before they need recycling at all.
Recycling aluminium can use around 95 percent less energy than making the same metal from ore—a substantial saving hidden inside an everyday drinks can.
