International Delegate's Day
April 25 · Level 4 · #1515 of 2238
International Delegate's Day is an informal professional holiday for people who represent an organisation, a country or a community at conferences and forums. It is a reminder that every joint decision is shaped by people who know how to listen and negotiate.
How it is celebrated: organisers thank their delegates, hold workshops on negotiation and public speaking, and colleagues swap experience.
The date is usually linked to 25 April 1945, when the conference in San Francisco opened at which the Charter of the United Nations was drawn up.
