International Day of Support for Victims of Crime
February 22 · Level 5 · #1259 of 2238

This awareness day focuses on people affected by crime and the support they need afterwards. Respect, a chance to be heard and access to emotional, practical and legal assistance are at its heart.
How it is celebrated: support organisations run information campaigns, public events and discussions involving professionals and people with lived experience. They explain where help is available and advocate for services that are easier to reach.
The same date is known within Europe's victim-support movement as the European Day for Victims of Crime. Different names can therefore point to the same day of solidarity.
