Radio, Television and Communications Workers' Day in Ukraine
November 16 · Level 6 · #1036 of 2238
This Ukrainian professional holiday celebrates the people who keep broadcasts running and communities connected. Presenters and journalists share the occasion with camera operators, engineers, technicians and the many specialists working beyond the microphone.
How it is celebrated: broadcasters and communications organisations congratulate their teams, present awards and look back at the history of their services. Recognition goes to both familiar voices and essential work behind the scenes.
The anniversary reaches back to 1924, when the first Ukrainian radio broadcast went on air from Kharkiv.
