Labour Day in Kazakhstan
September 27 · Level 7 · #768 of 2238

Kazakhstan’s Labour Day celebrates everyday work and the people who keep the country’s workplaces running. Skilled trades, mentoring and families who pass professional knowledge from one generation to the next receive particular attention.
How it is celebrated: events honour experienced workers, recognise employees’ achievements and share the stories of working families. Professional competitions and meetings with young people offer a closer look at different careers through the experience of established practitioners.
This Labour Day falls on the last Sunday in September. It has its own place in Kazakhstan’s calendar, separate from the May Day observances familiar in many countries.
