Tank Troops Day in Belarus

September 13 · Level 10 · #152 of 2238

Tank Troops Day in Belarus recognises serving members of tank units and veterans. The occasion highlights crew training, teamwork and the experience passed between generations of armoured troops.

How it is celebrated: military units hold ceremonies, congratulate personnel and welcome veterans. Flowers are laid at monuments, while vehicle displays and museum programmes introduce the public to the history of tank forces.

Inside a tank, the crew shares a very compact workplace with distinct jobs for the commander, gunner and driver. Vehicles without an automatic loading system generally need another crew member to load the main gun.
