Armenian Police Day
April 16 · Level 8 · #459 of 2238
Armenian Police Day recognises the people responsible for public order and community safety. It is an occasion to acknowledge professional service, thank retired officers and remember colleagues who died while carrying out their duties.
How it is celebrated: official ceremonies include awards and congratulations for serving personnel. Police representatives lay flowers at memorials to fallen colleagues, while gatherings also honour veterans with many years of service behind them.
The date marks the adoption of Armenia's Law on Police in 2001. The occasion therefore commemorates a legal milestone in the service's history.
