World Health Day
April 7 · Level 7 · #701 of 2238

World Health Day puts a shared health issue in the spotlight. Led by the World Health Organization, it encourages people and institutions to consider what makes good health and access to care possible.
How it is celebrated: health organisations run public information campaigns, community events and educational sessions. Each year’s theme gives these activities a common focus and helps connect global concerns with everyday experiences.
The date is also WHO’s birthday: its constitution came into force on 7 April 1948, bringing the organisation into existence.
