Motherhood and Beauty Day in Armenia
April 7 · Level 3 · #1635 of 2238
Armenia’s Motherhood and Beauty Day honours mothers and the care they give. It falls on the Armenian Apostolic Church’s feast of the Annunciation, connecting family celebrations with reverence for Mary.
How it is celebrated: mothers receive flowers, gifts and heartfelt thanks, while families spend time together. Concerts mark the occasion, and worshippers attend Annunciation services.
The holiday closes Armenia’s informal “women’s month,” running from 8 March to 7 April. Two celebrations a month apart have become bookends for an extended season of appreciation.
