World Four-Leaf Clover Day
August 2 · Level 4 · #1393 of 2238
A holiday for a rare find that is said to bring good luck. It is a fine excuse to go outside and look down at your feet.
How it is celebrated: people head to a meadow or park to hunt for the lucky leaf, then press it in a book or give it to a friend. Others simply draw clovers and wish their friends good luck.
A four-leaf clover is a rare variation of the usual three-leaf clover, which is why finding one feels special. Tradition says the four leaves stand for faith, hope, love and luck, while Ireland's shamrock is a three-leaf clover.
