Welder's Day in Russia

Welder's Day in Russia is an informal professional celebration of the people who turn separate parts into strong structures. Their skills help build bridges, manufacture vehicles and lay pipelines, often with a great deal depending on the quality of a single joint.
How it is celebrated: colleagues exchange congratulations, and workplaces recognise skilled and experienced welders. Industry gatherings and demonstrations provide opportunities to discuss equipment and share techniques.
Welding does not always involve melting metal. Friction welding uses heat generated by movement together with pressure to join materials in the solid state.
