This day recognises the drivers, mechanics and vehicle specialists serving in the Belarusian Armed Forces. Moving personnel, delivering supplies and keeping vehicles ready are essential jobs that support the everyday work of military units.
How it is celebrated: units congratulate their personnel, recognise distinguished service and honour veterans. Meetings with younger service members offer opportunities to share practical experience and discuss the responsibilities of the job.
A military motorist is not necessarily someone behind the wheel. The service also includes people who maintain, repair and recover vehicles, helping damaged or stranded equipment return to use.
