Combat Veterans Day
July 1 · Level 4 · #1517 of 2238
Combat Veterans Day in Russia brings together people who have served in armed conflicts. It offers time to honour those who died, support survivors and recognise the importance of health, family and everyday life after military service.
How it is celebrated: veterans meet former comrades, lay flowers at memorials and observe moments of silence. Veterans’ groups arrange remembrance gatherings and help people stay in touch.
The occasion reaches across individual conflicts and branches of the armed forces. Its shared link is the experience of combat, so people who served in very different units can mark it together.
