Veterinary Workers’ Day in Russia
August 31 · Level 4 · #1516 of 2238
Russia’s Veterinary Workers’ Day recognizes professionals who treat animals and help prevent disease. It brings together the work of clinics, laboratories and veterinary services, all of which protect animal health and, in turn, human wellbeing.
How it is celebrated: workplaces congratulate colleagues, present awards and honour experienced staff. Professional gatherings and public education activities highlight vaccination, everyday care and responsible animal ownership.
Veterinary work extends well beyond examining cats and dogs. Veterinary specialists also help check the safety of foods of animal origin, linking animal care with what reaches the dinner table.
