Tea Day
December 15 · Level 1 · #2155 of 2238

Tea Day celebrates one of the world's best-loved drinks and the people who grow it. It is a chance to think about tea plantations and the workers who pick the leaves.
How it is celebrated: people hold tastings and tea ceremonies, try unfamiliar varieties, brew a pot at the office or at home and gather friends around the table.
Green, black, white, oolong and pu-erh teas all come from the leaves of a single plant, Camellia sinensis. The difference lies in how the leaves are dried and processed. The United Nations has its own International Tea Day on 21 May.
