December 8 · Level 7 · #727 of 2238

Bulgaria's student holiday falls on the day of Saint Clement of Ohrid, patron of students and learners. It is a day for fun, student friendship and a break from lectures.
How it is celebrated: students throw parties and go to concerts, clubs and cafés, while universities hold festive ceremonies. Classes at universities are usually cancelled for the day.
Sofia University is named after Clement of Ohrid, and it is the oldest university in the country, founded in 1888.
