Pretend to Be a Time Traveler Day
December 8 · Level 4 · #1368 of 2238

A playful holiday for anyone with a big imagination. For one day you can act as if you have arrived from the past or the future, and look at everyday things like a visitor from another era.
How it is celebrated: some people put on costumes from different centuries, others marvel at a smartphone as if it were magic, or "predict" tomorrow's lunch menu for their coworkers. Teams enjoy playing visitors from the year 3026.
In 2009 physicist Stephen Hawking threw a party for time travellers and sent out the invitations only after it was over. Nobody turned up, which he took as a fun bit of evidence against time travel.
