Social Protection Workers' Day in Moldova
September 20 · Level 2 · #1805 of 2238
This is a professional day for people who support pensioners, people with disabilities, large families and anyone who needs a helping hand. It is a moment to thank those who notice other people's troubles.
How it is celebrated: teams exchange congratulations, certificates and thank-you letters are handed out, and colleagues meet at conferences to share experience.
In Moldovan villages, much of the care for elderly and lonely people rests with social workers, who often visit the people they help right at home.
