Recruiter's Day in Russia
September 20 · Level 2 · #1895 of 2238
This unofficial holiday belongs to recruiters, the people who bring companies and candidates together. The HR community marks it to shine a light on the largely invisible side of the job.
How it is celebrated: recruiters gather at professional meetups and conferences, swap experience, and colleagues and employers send playful congratulations to the people who hunt for talent.
The Russian word for recruit came from French and originally meant a military conscript. Peter the Great introduced recruitment levies in Russia in 1705.
