Russian Entrepreneurship Day

Russian Entrepreneurship Day recognises people who start and grow businesses. It highlights the jobs, products and services they create, giving a place in the celebrations to small workshops as well as established companies.
How it is celebrated: business owners attend forums, exhibitions and practical seminars. Regional events recognise local firms and bring entrepreneurs together to discuss funding, building teams and reaching new customers. Sharing experience is as much a part of the day as receiving awards.
The holiday was established in 2007, but its date recalls an earlier milestone: the Soviet law on cooperatives adopted on 26 May 1988.
