Railway Recovery Train Workers' Day in Russia
November 11 · Level 8 · #471 of 2238
This professional observance honours Russia's railway recovery train crews. They help get railways operating safely again after derailments and other accidents, handling heavy equipment and clearing the consequences of incidents that can block an entire route.
How it is celebrated: railway teams congratulate workers and veterans, recognise outstanding service and recall demanding recovery jobs. Crews on duty remain ready to respond to a call.
A recovery train is effectively a mobile engineering base. It can bring a powerful crane, lifting equipment and workshop facilities directly to an accident site.
