Pink Panther Day
May 18 · Level 4 · #1370 of 2238
Pink Panther Day is an informal excuse to revisit the effortlessly cool pink cartoon character. Visual jokes, expressive movement and Henry Mancini's familiar music give the occasion its playful mood.
How it is celebrated: fans revisit the cartoons, share favourite scenes and draw the character. A little pink clothing and the famous jazz theme can set the scene for a watch party at home.
The animated panther first appeared in the opening titles of a live-action film in 1963. In that film's story, however, the Pink Panther is a valuable diamond.
