Russian Post Day
July 12 · Level 3 · #1662 of 2238
Russian Post Day celebrates the people who get letters, parcels and publications to the right doorstep. Postal carriers share the occasion with counter staff, sorters, drivers and the many others connecting cities with small rural communities.
How it is celebrated: postal teams congratulate colleagues, recognise outstanding work and thank retired employees. Customers can join in with a simple thank-you at their local branch: even an ordinary delivery takes teamwork.
Russia's postal history stretches back centuries, but this particular professional holiday was established only in 1994. It falls on the second Sunday in July.
