Technical Inventory Specialist Day

Technical Inventory Specialist Day is the professional day of workers at Russia's Bureaus of Technical Inventory (BTI), the people who measure houses and flats and turn walls into precise plans and numbers.
How it is celebrated: colleagues gather for small work parties, the best employees receive certificates, and veterans of the trade swap stories from the field.
For decades a floor plan with measured rooms from the BTI was a standard document for buying a flat or planning a renovation.
