World Snow Day

World Snow Day gives children and families a welcoming introduction to snow sports. The aim is to make winter activity enjoyable and accessible, whether someone is trying skis for the first time or simply discovering the fun of playing outside in the snow.
How it is celebrated: ski areas and sports organisations arrange beginner sessions, games and children’s events. Some offer free or discounted lessons and equipment hire, alongside guidance on staying safe on the slopes.
The International Ski Federation launched the first World Snow Day in 2012 as part of its aptly named Bring Children to the Snow programme.
