World Ovarian Cancer Day

A day when patient organisations around the world talk about ovarian cancer: its signs, how it is diagnosed, and how to support women facing it. The main goal is to help people spot warning symptoms sooner.

How it is celebrated: there are online meetings, talks by doctors, charity events and fundraisers. Supporters wear teal ribbons and clothes, and some buildings are lit up in teal.

The symptoms can look harmless: bloating, pelvic pain, feeling full quickly, or needing to pass urine more often. That is one reason the disease is often found late.
