World Lymphoma Awareness Day
September 15 · Level 5 · #1218 of 2238

Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, a key part of the body's defences. This day puts early warning signs in the spotlight and shows support for people living with the disease.
How it is celebrated: patient groups hold meetings and online campaigns, people wear lime-green ribbons, and some landmarks are lit up in that colour.
There are more than 70 types of lymphoma, and they fall into two broad families: Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphomas.
