World Kindness Day
November 13 · Level 4 · #1436 of 2238

World Kindness Day encourages people to turn goodwill into something another person can actually feel. Helping a neighbour, thanking a colleague or checking in on someone having a difficult week can be a useful place to start.
How it is celebrated: schools, charities and volunteer groups organise community activities and collections for people in need. Individuals write thank-you messages or choose small, practical acts of kindness to carry out themselves.
The observance began in 1998 through the World Kindness Movement. Its international reach grew from a civic movement rather than a United Nations declaration.
