Russian Armed Forces State Secrets Protection Service Day
November 13 · Level 4 · #1407 of 2238
This service day recognises the specialists who safeguard state secrets within the Russian Armed Forces. Their responsibilities include controlling access to classified information, managing sensitive documents and preventing unauthorised disclosure.
How it is celebrated: military units and institutions congratulate serving staff and veterans, with awards recognising distinguished work. Internal gatherings recall the service's history and acknowledge the care and responsibility its duties require.
Protecting a secret starts long before anyone attempts to leak it. Decisions about who may see information, how its physical or digital carriers are tracked and where it is stored are part of the protection itself.
