Symphonic Metal Day
November 13 · Level 9 · #271 of 2238
Symphonic Metal Day is for music where heavy guitars meet orchestral sound. It is a party for fans of a genre that puts the power of rock next to the drama of classical arrangements.
How it is celebrated: fans spin favourite albums, watch concert recordings, swap playlists and hunt for new bands to add to the collection.
One of the best-known bands of the genre is Nightwish from Finland, formed in 1996. Its sound pairs operatic vocals with orchestral arrangements and heavy guitars.
