World UFO Day
July 2 · Level 4 · #1351 of 2238
World UFO Day is an informal occasion for anyone curious about puzzling sights in the sky. It invites people to explore unusual reports, examine the available evidence and leave room for questions before jumping to conclusions.
How it is celebrated: enthusiasts watch the skies, discuss famous sightings and hold documentary or science-fiction film screenings. Comparing possible explanations is often part of the fun.
UFO stands for “unidentified flying object”; the term itself says nothing about aliens. An object being unidentified means its identity has not been established, rather than that an extraterrestrial origin has been demonstrated.
