Veterinary Medicine Workers' Day in Ukraine
August 9 · Level 3 · #1575 of 2238
Ukraine's Veterinary Medicine Workers' Day honours professionals who protect animal health and help safeguard human health too. It brings together people working in clinics, laboratories, farms and veterinary services, including many whose patients are not household pets.
How it is celebrated: workplaces congratulate their teams and recognise distinguished staff. Veterinary organisations explain their work to the public and share information about responsible animal care.
Veterinary medicine also reaches the dinner table. Checking the safety of foods of animal origin is an important part of the profession, alongside treating sick and injured animals.
