Theatre Box Office Staff Day
March 2 · Level 1 · #2227 of 2238
This Russian professional observance recognizes the people who welcome audiences before the curtain ever rises: theatre box office staff. Their work includes helping visitors choose performances, understand seating options and navigate the practical details of a night at the theatre.
How it is celebrated: theatre teams congratulate their ticket sellers with flowers, messages of appreciation and public acknowledgements of their work. Audience members can join in with a personal thank-you.
The occasion falls on the first Monday in March, so its calendar date moves each year. Box office staff get their own moment in the spotlight.
