Sons' Day

An informal family day for telling sons of any age that they are loved and that their parents are proud of them. It is not part of the official UN calendar.

How it is celebrated: families share a dinner, go for a walk or play a game together, give small presents, and parents send warm messages by phone or on social media. Grown-up sons often get a call from mum and dad.

Since the day has no single international status, the date can differ from country to country and family to family, and many households pair it with a Daughters' Day.
