Rosgvardiya Strategic Facilities and Special Cargo Units Day
April 27 · Level 9 · #307 of 2238
This service day recognises Rosgvardiya units responsible for guarding important state facilities and special cargo. It honours personnel whose daily duties depend on vigilance, preparation and carefully followed procedures, often away from public attention.
How it is celebrated: units hold ceremonial formations, present awards and welcome veterans. Gatherings recognise distinguished personnel, recall unit histories and remember colleagues who died in service.
These units have a history older than Rosgvardiya itself. Before the agency was created in 2016, the corresponding duties belonged to units of the Internal Troops, whose experience and traditions carried over into the new organisation.
