International Design Day
April 27 · Level 5 · #1272 of 2238
International Design Day honours the people who decide how everyday things look and work, from typefaces and packaging to apps and furniture. The date is tied to the founding anniversary of the International Council of Design.
How it is celebrated: design studios and schools host open talks, exhibitions and workshops, while designers share their work and explain how an idea becomes a finished product.
The International Council of Design began as an association for graphic designers, and it took its current name in 2015.
