Rotational Workers' Day in Russia
April 27 · Level 4 · #1394 of 2238

Russia's unofficial Rotational Workers' Day recognises people who spend extended periods working far from home. It celebrates those who extract resources, build infrastructure and keep remote sites running where a daily commute simply is not possible.
How it is celebrated: colleagues and families send congratulations, and teams may arrange small workplace gatherings. At remote sites, celebrations fit around operating schedules, with thanks shared between shifts.
A rotational worker does not belong to one particular profession. Drillers, cooks, drivers and medical staff can all live and work in the same camp: what they share is a working arrangement.
