Russian Interior Ministry Communications Service Day
December 10 · Level 5 · #1183 of 2238
This is the professional day of the communications specialists of Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs. They keep radio links and secure data channels working for police officers.
How it is celebrated: colleagues are congratulated at formal gatherings, the best specialists receive awards and departmental commendations, and veterans of the service meet younger officers.
When someone dials 102 or 112 to reach the police in Russia, help begins with a chain of communication that specialists like these maintain: the call must reach the duty desk, and the order must reach the patrol crew.
