International Climate Day
May 15 · Level 9 · #396 of 2238
International Climate Day is an informal environmental observance about a changing climate and its effects on people and nature. It creates space to discuss why the planet is warming, how emissions can be reduced and how communities can adapt.
How it is celebrated: educational sessions, public discussions and environmental activities explore energy use, transport and everyday resource consumption. Schools and community groups use the occasion to connect a global issue with familiar local choices.
Weather and climate describe different things. A single cold day does not disprove global warming: climate science examines patterns over many years, rather than one day's forecast.
