Inventors' and Innovators' Day in Russia
June 27 · Level 8 · #550 of 2238
Russia celebrates people who develop technical ideas and improve the way everyday work is done. The occasion recognises both new inventions and practical changes that save time, materials or effort.
How it is celebrated: workplaces and research organisations present awards, hold exhibitions and bring innovators together. Inventors demonstrate their projects while colleagues discuss how those ideas could work in practice.
The holiday follows a weekday rather than a fixed calendar date: it falls on the last Saturday of June. Its date therefore shifts from year to year.
