International Moment of Frustration Scream Day

A tongue-in-cheek day that gives you official permission to let off steam. Frustrations pile up all year, and one good shout can lighten the load.

How it is celebrated: at 5 pm local time people step outside, sit in the car or find an empty spot and let out a short scream. Some do it together with friends or colleagues and then laugh about it.

Edvard Munch made several versions of The Scream between 1893 and 1910, and the screaming figure has become a lasting symbol of anxiety.
