International Bible Day
November 29 · Level 6 · #953 of 2238

This day is devoted to reading, studying and preserving the Bible. Christian communities and Bible societies use it to reflect on the book's place in history and culture.
How it is celebrated: people hold public readings of passages, lectures, exhibitions of old editions and reader meetups. Many also join fundraisers for translating and publishing Bibles.
One of the first major books printed in Europe with movable type was the Gutenberg Bible, produced around 1455.
