Eat Your Noodles Day
March 11 · Level 2 · #1819 of 2238

A playful food holiday that asks you to cook a bowl of noodles and enjoy every strand. The excuse is easy to accept: nearly every cuisine in the world has its own noodles.
How it is celebrated: people make ramen, spaghetti, udon or chicken noodle soup, try a new recipe, or head out for a favourite noodle bowl. A shared table where everyone brings a different dish works nicely.
In 2005, archaeologists at the Lajia site in China found a bowl of millet noodles about 4,000 years old, among the oldest noodles ever discovered.
