Appraiser’s Day is the professional holiday of people who work out what a flat, a factory, a machine or a brand is really worth. Deals, loans and insurance would be hard to imagine without their reports.
How it is celebrated: professional associations hold conferences and workshops, colleagues discuss new methods and changes in the law, and the best specialists receive awards.
In Russia an appraiser must belong to a self-regulating professional organisation and insure their liability, as the law on valuation requires.
