Belarusian Science Day
January 25 · Level 5 · #1313 of 2238

Belarusian Science Day recognises the country's researchers and the knowledge they create, from discoveries about the natural world to new materials and technologies. It celebrates the patient work of asking questions, testing ideas and finding useful answers.
How it is celebrated: research institutions present their work through exhibitions, meetings and ceremonial events. Scientists receive congratulations and awards, while visitors learn what happens inside laboratories and where those discoveries can lead.
The holiday belongs to the last Sunday in January rather than a fixed calendar date. It falls on 25 January in some years, but shifts to another date in others.
