2D Artists Day
December 2 · Level 7 · #720 of 2238
2D Artists Day celebrates illustrators, comic artists, pixel artists, animators and everyone who creates on a flat surface. It is a reminder that a single image can tell a whole story.
How it is celebrated: artists run online drawing challenges, sketch live on streams, share sketchbooks and swap work on social networks and forums.
At 24 frames per second, one minute of film needs 1,440 frames. That is why hand-drawn animators often work "on twos", making one drawing for every two frames, which halves the workload.
