Belarusian Air Defence Forces Day
April 12 · Level 7 · #788 of 2238
Belarus honours the service members who monitor and defend its airspace. The occasion recognises both serving personnel and air defence veterans, whose work depends on careful observation, quick decisions and close coordination.
How it is celebrated: military units hold ceremonial assemblies and present awards and commendations. Colleagues exchange congratulations, recognise their mentors and revisit the history of their units.
The holiday moves around the calendar: it falls on the second Sunday in April. Operational duty continues throughout the celebrations, so some personnel mark the occasion while keeping watch.
