World Stroke Day
October 29 · Level 7 · #820 of 2238

World Stroke Day puts stroke awareness and life after stroke in the spotlight. It encourages people to understand prevention, recognise warning signs and appreciate why timely help matters, while keeping survivors and their families part of the conversation.
How it is celebrated: health organisations run awareness campaigns, offer risk-factor checks and bring specialists together with the public. Survivors and caregivers share experiences of rehabilitation and everyday life.
Stroke rehabilitation can involve much more than learning to walk again. Some survivors also need help rebuilding the ability to communicate through speech.
